The Secret Message: Heroes and Heroines of the American Revolution

In 1781 General Nathanael Greene, commander of the Continental Army in the South, needed to get a message to General Thomas Sumter. As the British army lay between Greene's and Sumter's camps, Emily Geiger rode through the dangerous enemy territory to deliver the message. She was captured and thought a spy, but found her way out of her predicament and quickly made her way to Sumter to deliver the message.
