The life of Charles A. Lewis Totten (February 3, 1851 - April 12, 1908) was graced within a rich military heritage. This classic reprint is a sequel to one of his earlier works (Tea Tephi). He wrote it while serving out his last assignment in the army, as professor of Military Science and Tactics at Yale University (August 1, 1889 until 1892), after which he resigned his commission and left the army in September, 1893.
