Meet Carter Jakeman, a man in his late thirties suffering with bipolar disorder. He has resigned himself to just living in the background, frequenting bars too often and being generally miserable most of the time. The concoction of being unable to flourish in his life, combined with a dead end job and hampered relationships has only worsened his confidence and self esteem, leaving a broken and demoralised man, a man with a belief that he has no chance of happiness. Then a string of events turns everything on its head. He finds himself locked in an emotional battle as he deals with the fall-out of his brother's death and meets the woman of his dreams.
