George M. Furniss has served as minister-in-residence at Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, Missouri; a hospital chaplain in Eugene, Oregon; and Associate Professor of Sociology at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa. He is an ordained Presbyterian minister.
