This is Square's story. He is a mid-sized square, not too big or too small. Square is going on a journey, because he doesn't like being a square. He thinks he is too "square," and he dreams of changing his shape. His adventure begins with the Smart Someone (who is very smart) and continues among all the shapes. His goal is to be completely different. And indeed, at the end of his path, Square is different, but not in the way he expected. His journey becomes one of self-discovery. He finds new insight that can only be revealed when he reaches his destination.
