The Stain of Time was first published in 2002 and by 2009 I felt it had done its job and let it lie. However, many kind people have asked me if I would consider putting it back into print as copies that are available in internet shops seem to be rather a lot of money Hence its revival. The Stain of Time V2 contains no new material as such, it documents Trent Reznor's life up to the time of The Fragile - from the year 2000 and onwards is another project - but has been edited slightly. The major difference is that the past life story has been omitted as I believe I did not do justice to it at all. It will be released separately and in its entirety whereas previously there was only space for the barest outline. Everything else remains however. So, what will you find in The Stain of Time V2? It is the unorthodox biography of American musician Trent Reznor, still one of the most influencial men in the music industry. Expanding the boundaries usually associated with biographical works it is argued that a possible bleedthrough from a past life has been not only the catalyst for Reznor's critically acclaimed career, but also for his often troubled personal life. During divination sessions with the daimon Sigmund, a past life story emerged that was purported to be that of Trent Reznor in a previous incarnation. The Stain of Time V2 contains all the notes from those sessions. For those sceptical of the past life/reincarnation theory a chapter has been included that offers some scientific proof for a soul that survives death.
