Carmen Mills shares her story of childhood trauma. From abandonment, to being severely malnourished, and the effects it had on her, causing anxiety and depression. Studies in early childhood development tell us that, the first three years of a child's life are crucial for healthy brain functions. The basic needs are food, safety, and love, to feel secure and safe. I did not have these things, so at an early age I struggled with insecurity and distrust. Through counseling and overcoming a lot of struggles I learned and write that, no matter what you have gone through, there is nothing the Lord won't forgive you for or help you overcome from your past.
