When Dr. Hans Janssen discovered motors that were driven by wireless electricity more than a hundred thousand years ago, scientists conjured up images of a highly advanced civilization that lived in an island on the Atlantic Ocean. But when a documentary was made on the discoveries, bad things start happening. Tapes of the documentary disappear, and every stray news feature that had reported Janssen's discoveries is pulled out of circulation. An isolated Janssen is then approached by Dr. Achmed Fouad, his reclusive teacher and mentor to work with him. Janssen follows Fouad to Brazil, where he gets sucked into a powerful, ancient story that brings to life the very civilization whose motors he had discovered, a civilization from a land called Atlantis. The narrator of the ancient story hints at an escape into space from a calamity on earth, but the destination of the escape remains a puzzle. Even as clues are unearthed all over the world that could solve the narrator's puzzle, Janssen's team discovers that dangerous and destructive remnants of that ancient civilization still exist on earth, creating and destroying with impunity.
