Natalie and Ernesto are both biracial and grew up in Boston. For Natalie it was never an issue growing up. She identify's as a black women. Her husband Ernesto on the other hand had a rough childhood because of the fact he was biracial. He was bullied as a child and never really knew where he fit in. He would even pass for white if it worked to his advantage. When he meets Natalie he see's in her what he lacks. Confidence. Married for ten years and both successful in their careers. He as a software programmer. She as the director of a local hospital. The marriage seems to be picture perfect. That is until Natalie gets laid off from her job. She decides to give Temping a try. Her very first assignment, takes their marriage through so many twist and turns, and opens doors they probably would have both preferred stayed closed. Or do they?
