The Templar Legacy

Autor S. E. Wright
en Limba Engleză Paperback
The Templar Legacy is a historical fiction novel that spans nine centuries: from the Third Crusade to present time. Saladin, who is the Sultan of the Muslims, King Philip II of France, and King Richard the Lionheart of England are some of the major players that come to life in this suspense thriller. As Saladin's forces tighten the noose around Jerusalem, a holy relic of monumental importance to mankind is discovered by the Templars. The Grand Master of the Templars sends Sir Anton Geline on a desperate mission to keep the relic from falling into the wrong hands. Battling his way from Jerusalem to the European continent, Sir Geline must find a secure hiding place to keep the holy relic safe until mankind needs it. Along the way, he falls in love with a woman from King Philip's court that is being forced to marry German nobility. When King Philip orders the Templars arrested so he can seize their vast riches, Sir Geline's mission is complicated by having to also hide tons of Templar gold. Eight hundred years later a determined treasure hunter Bill Russell tries to piece together where the Templar gold was hidden centuries earlier. The search leads Bill him to France, a country in crisis from problems caused by an out of control immigration program. Bill must contend with a violent Muslim street gang that specializes in drug dealing and armed robbery. When the gang hears about the Templar treasure, they decide they want their share. As Bill narrows his search for the lost treasure, he receives unexpected help from the Vatican. The story weaves through the ancient Holy Lands and Italy to modern Norfolk, Virginia, the Vatican in Rome, and Abbeville France to a final conclusion that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
