In 1967, John Eastwood was a junior engineer at Boving and Company, Ltd., a well-established London-based supplier of water turbines for hydroelectric dams. Boving had no interest in pursuing work in the "litigious" U.S. until Eastwood parlayed a simple idea into a massive opportunity.
