Ralph Cape is in San Juan on business when he runs into former student, Pete Rodriguez, now grown and with a family of his own. Ralph is warmly embraced by Pete and quickly bonds with his teenage son, Jerry, who owns an Arabian gelding named Coral Sea. The happy reunion is cut short when Pete's position with the government requires him to investigate unusual activity off the coast.
