The Vallini Affair

Travis Jackson is a successful entrepreneur and scientist enjoying life on a ranch outside San Diego, California, when he receives a package from Venice, Italy, addressed to his deceased grandfather.

Inside he finds an old painting he knows will delight his estranged art historian girlfriend, Sophia, and invites her to take a look. That night, an attempted robbery of the mysterious work sees them barely escape with their lives.

Investigating the painting further, Travis discovers an envelope filled with pages of notes and equations hidden behind the backing. Travis recognizes these documents are from a scientist who had been trapped behind the Iron Curtain doing research related to energy production-information worth killing over. With Travis as one of the few people who can complete the work, he and Sophia find themselves in a desperate race for their lives as deadly adversaries halfway around the world will stop at nothing to have the information for themselves.
