The Veil of Oz

Life may be what we think we are living, while all round us lie the hidden meanings in what we value most. Family and friends, coin and country, religion and freedom, personal and planetary health, the futures of our children. 'Life' as we call it, shows its mundane face to the outer world, but not the vast inner reaches of Soul space.There lie the genes and memes of who we really were, before the culture had conditioned us to be its consumers and cultural representatives. Unless we know how to look beneath the surfaces of mundane objects, seemingly ordinary relationships, the forces that drive our fates can sidewipe us at any given moment. As the poet Healy states 'The rogue wave comes on your blind side, just as you're casting'. Knowing what forces are at work in the waves around us can give us the best chances at being prepared for the unforseen, as we travel down our individual paths.
