While sin has left us a glorious ruin, and condemned to death, grace is about to change all that as we are about to see in the next study of this series in Ro-mans 3:21-5:21. Paul proceeds to speak about the light of the Gospel in Romans 3:21-31, explaining the one and only means of justification for all mankind, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Paul has just explained to us that no one can be declared righteous (justified) by the law (Romans 3:20). He also explained to us that no one may be saved by their own works. Righteousness (holy and upright living based on God's standard, not ours) cannot be earned by adhering to rules and morals. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
