Kim Russell wishes for a world where she and her family are not oppressed by the upper class Thounanli. After they find out that their enemy has a game changing object in hand, they plan to steal it, even though they are not exactly sure how it works. When they find the object, Kim touches it, not knowing that is all the object needs to be set off. Thrown back into the past with one of the enemy, Kim soon finds herself at one of the last great temples of her people. Knowing that she has a chance to change history, Kim quickly gets involved in her ancestors' fight against a common enemy. Her actions will bring about a new way of life for everyone, but Kim might not see her family ever again.
