The Winter Women Murders

The legacy of Sophie Comfort, an eighty-four-year old woman who suddenly died when she took a nasty fall down the servant's stairs, lives on in the form of the Waggs Neck Harbor Annnual Literary Arts Symposium (ALAS). When she created the symposium, it was dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the winter women: the upper-middle-class, upper-middle-aged ladies who lived in the resort town year-round. But following her death, under daughter Rhodie's guidance, ALAS has taken on a boldly feminist concept, featuring a keynote speaker that is the bestselling author of feminist romance novels.

When local real estate agent and part-time detective Wyn Lewis volunteers to be the host, driver, and keeper of the featured speaker, Keny Blue, she is shocked to find out that the author's life of sexual freedoms and proclivities leads to an unhappy climax.

Upon finding Keny dead in the bed of her hotel suite, wearing nothing but a wire garrote around her neck, Wyn is left with several murder suspects due to Keny's sexual antics.

Though Wyn would rather be at home, indulging in her own fantasies with Chinese food, an old movie, and her boyfriend, Tommy Handwerk, she must work to solve the murder that has taken her beloved small town and the winter women by shock.
