The World Is Not How We 'See' It

Autor Jesuis Laplume
en Limba Engleză Paperback
When Einstein said that "The universe is not only weirder than we imagine, but weirder than we can imagine." he vastly underestimated its weirdness. Our senses are optimized, in conjunction with our brain, our awareness and consciousness, to have us survive as fear-driven Homo sapiens. Those limited senses have still allowed us to get to the point where we are ready to evolve into Homo spiritus, a love-driven species. If we are to efficiently evolve into that new species, however, before we destroy the ability of this beautiful blue planet to support us, we are going to have to better understand the difference between what we think that we sense and the reality of this universe and planet. We are also going to have to quickly understand the distortions in what we have been told about who we really are and why we are here. In the early phases of our development we understood, implicitly, that we had many ways of 'seeing' the world around us, and that we had at least six senses that helped us 'see.' Some scientist who did not really understand the limitations inherent in traditional science have been telling us for a few centuries that we are the result of random chance, are separate beings, not only from each other but from our universe, and that there is no purpose for our existing. The messages are coming from scientists who do not understand how little they really know about the universe and about the founding assumptions of science. They are seriously wrong As very recent science is now telling us, this is a universe of mostly empty space even in solid objects like a solid block of iron. We do not see it that way. We sense through smell and taste only a small fraction of what other animals smell and taste. We hear a very small fraction of what can be heard and what other living creatures can hear. Our ability to sense what we are touching, including sensing temperature, is very rudimentary and does not give us a true picture of what is being touched. All of these limitations of our senses become more severe when we consider the sixth and other senses that have been ignored by traditional science, but few of us believe that we cannot think and have thoughts, cannot feel and have emotions, cannot send out prayers that change the world and that pure information does not flow when components of living tissues work together. There are many bits of new knowledge that exist and will help us comprehend the reality of this universe. They can also help us understand why we can let go of a great deal of false information as we move on to become the loving creatures that will save our evolving species. The new us can also help save much of life that we are now hell-bent to eradicate if it does not show an exorbitant profit.
