Chris James is a nightclub performer at The Half Shell, a tourist resort just north of Guiana on the South American coastline, situated on a small island known as Lannas. Chris is Caribbean-handsome - mocha-skinned and articulate - and very popular with the ladies. One night Chris's routine is interrupted by two American couples - one young, the other older and wealthier. The older couple - the Borbons - remind Chris of Mr. and Mrs. Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island. But it is the younger couple that fascinates Chris the most. Gina and Gardner Brouchard are brother and sister vacationing in the tropics - and Gina is a smoldering redhead who immediately comes-on to Chris. Obeying professional protocol, Chris keeps his distance, but slowly falls under Gina's spell. That's a problem, because Gina's seduction is not all that innocent - under the guise of just taking a few photographs, Chris is coaxed into piloting the two couples in a small canoe to Varrajvonne - a quarantined island ten miles away from Lannas. This proposition is both illegal and very dangerous. Varrajvonne is - not coincidentally - Chris's former home and now exists, in isolation, as a United Nations protectorate. Or is it all that isolated? One thing is for sure - once they step foot on Varrajvonne's forbidden shoreline everything that can go wrong does.
