Two teenagers from culturally different backgrounds, both under emotional pressures at home, find themselves on opposite sides in a science class controversy about the effects of an historic natural disaster, the volcanic eruption, Tambora. Their conflict leads them to recognize the much more important global threat of today's climate change?and brings them together in earth- and family-altering ways.
