Notă biografică
Ravi Shanker Kapoor holds a B.A. Mathematics degree from Hansraj College, Delhi University. As a journalist who has spent over 25 years in the profession, he has been associated with several newspapers such as The Financial Express and The Asian Age, and as a freelancer, he has contributed to Business Standard, The Wall Street Journal and The Indian Express, among others. Kapoor has also authored More Equal Than Others: A Study of the Indian Left (2000), a book about the huge intellectual influence communists enjoy. His second book, Failing the Promise: Irrelevance of the Vajpayee Government (2003), was about the failure of the BJP to provide a viable, rightwing alternative. The third one, How India's Intellectuals Spread Lies (2007), unmasks the doublespeak of luminaries like Jawaharlal Nehru, Arundhati Roy, Khushwant Singh, Kuldip Nayar, and Mani Shankar Aiyar. Currently, he edits www.thehinduchronicle.com.
