When young J.C. Hawks and his friends awake in the hospital after a two week absence from the world they find that the world has become something they never would have dreamed of. Caught up in a conspiracy of which they have only a vague idea they do their best to survive the changes to their bodies, as well as the creatures that even their own worst nightmares could not contain. In the new comic book world in which they live J.C. and his friends must be faster, stronger, and smarter than the designs set into motion around them. As they try to regain their lives, and survive in the process, they discover clues to the mystery that surrounds them and discover just how deep the rabbit hole goes.
