Asian
Studies,
and
holder

the
Richard
and
Rhoda
Goldman
Distinguished
Chair
in
Interdisciplinary
Studies
at
the
University
of
California,
Berkeley.
She
has
served
as
President
of
the
Society
of
Ethnomusicology.
