The Kingdom of God is not the church, it is bigger than the church and includes God complete plan to bring prosperity and national transformation to all nations. God's kingdom is bigger than any local denomination, whether that denomination is Catholic, Protestant, Anglican, Pentecostal, Baptist, Wesleyan, Nazarene, Church of God or any other denomination. For so long, some say too long, the church has functioned as a straightjacket limiting the expression of Christ to merely spiritual things and the life to come. Much of this has been the result of many self-proclaimed, modern-day "prophets" who have arisen to stir up a furor rivaled only by the impending apocalypse they predict. This doom-and-gloom prognostication is not only spread by a few fanatics, but millions of Christians, including some of the most recognized names in mainstream Christianity who are caught up in the latest "last days" frenzy. Seduced by the popular craze, they are driven not to action, but to radical inactivity, ineffectiveness, and lethargy while waiting for the easy-out "end". The result has been catastrophic as we see the church abandon culture, retreat into the four walls of its church. This book is about a theological paradigm shift calling the church back to the kind of engagement that validates, equips and commissions believers into their market place vocations in accordance with the cultural mandate of Genesis 1:28 "to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it" The answer to man's quest for purpose and ultimate self-fulfillment is not religion and cannot be found in the theory and practice of socialism, communism or even democracy, which have all failed to create the kind of world we are all searching for. It cannot be found in the realm of economics, medicine or science. Each of us has in us an inbuilt need for power, for control over our circumstances and the circumstances of life. We were all created not just to exist, but to live a fulfilled and significant life in the Kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is God's answer to your need for power and control, and His answer to the needs of a world lost in sin, immorality, corruption, abuse, and scandal and self- deception. That is why the Kingdom was at the heart of the message of Jesus. The kingdom is a paradox which may be hard to understand, but a mystery which has been revealed. The teaching of this book seeks to simplify and explain the doctrine of the kingdom, the message of the gospel of the kingdom and heaven's reign over planet earth through a people, God calls the church.
