Notă biografică

Bill Gurnon first learned of the power of personal storytelling in 1999. He studied and practiced the craft of oral storytelling for about 10 years in a group known as "Real Lives Aloud" in Northfield, Minnesota. This storytelling troupe performed several times in storytelling concerts at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater. Bill's oral stories were met with surprising interest and some were even recorded and aired on Twin Cities Public Television and Minnesota Public Radio. When Real Lives Aloud disbanded and formal oral storytelling was no longer part of his routine, Bill decided to transcribe his oral stories into written stories with the purpose of including them in a book for family and friends. His first book, "The Story Collector," was the result. Sharing true, personal stories has become a passion for Bill as he believes everyone has stories to share and that we can all benefit from hearing them. He continues to write and has published two other books, "The Story Bridge - Closing the Gap that Separates Us" and "Three O'Clock Movement - Revelation in a Women's Prison."
