Throdart

Autor Rodney Ruedele
en Limba Engleză Paperback
Most critics of literature would consider William Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde to be two of the greatest writers in the history of the English language. However, it is doubtful that many would consider either to be strong advocates of ethics, of embracing a strong sense of vice and virtue. Geoffrey Throdart, the protagonist of this novel, disagrees with this opinion. He suggests, that although not overt, if one investigates the ironies and metaphors in their writings, taking into account the biographical evidence for each writer, that there is an abundance of ethics lying just beneath the surface. It is Throdart's mission to ferret out the ethics of both Shakespeare and Wilde from their writings, and from the insecurities evidenced in each writer's life. Whether the reader of this tale agrees with the conclusions drawn by Throdart or not, the abundance of evidentiary material available herein should be sufficient to spark many an engaging conversation.
