Notă biografică

Kevin L. Aleem is a Social Worker by profession and has been writing poetry since his youth. This professional background and other life experiences have allowed his poetry to grow into the richness seen today.
A graduate of Temple University School of Social Administration, the author was one of the initial students to participate with the Temple University Afro-centric Social Work Institute, as well as the Afro-centric Social Work Unit at one of Philadelphia's academically, economically, and culturally deprived public high schools.
Mr. Aleem has spoken and presented his poetry at Temple University, Drexel University, The University of Pennsylvania, The University of Maryland, The University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Widener University, The National Association of Black Social Workers Conferences, Philadelphia's Freedom Theatre, The National Association of Black Psychologists, The National Coalition for Black Reparations in America Conferences, and various Masonic functions (he is a proud member of John S. Watson #23 of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania), both in his capacity as a professional in the Social Sciences, and as a creative force in the area of poetry.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and forged into a man by the flaming, "God-fearing" heart of a mother that could only produce a man that fears God but follows his path, Kevin Aleem brings a positive African American male perspective to the art of poetry that he attributes not only to the love of his mother, but to the presence, acknowledgement and reliance on the omnipotence of the Creator.
