With a Tarantino-esque story structure, Leiber-like characterizations, Lovecraftian elements, Howardian-style verbiage and a grim dollop of the Orwellian dystopia that has overtones of modern Socialist government, Through the Groaning Earth is a thought-provoking as well as an entertaining read.
