Tips are carefully categorized into nine sections that are easy to access and also designed to make a librarian's job much easier. Each section begins with a brief explanation of the topic and its role in the librarian's work, and then presents a list of the sub-topics in that section. There are suggestions for collecting overdue books and fines, collaboration, special themes, incentives, bulletin board ideas, special events, author visits, managing computer usernames and passwords, and the list goes on.
