This book contains a series of poems that Elizabeth A. Richter wrote from 2006 until 2008 during the period of her difficult divorce. The poems include her reflections on loss, grief, and the journey towards healing and recovery. They reveal a broad range of influences from Theodore Roetke and on to the great 20th century poet T.S. Eliot. Elizabeth A. Richter is a long time advocate for human rights within the mental health system and the legal system. Her articles have been published in "Glamour Magazine," "Liberty Magazine," "Psychotherapy Networker," "Open Minds Quarterly," "The Hartford Courant," and other online venues. She is the author of the memoir "Songs of the Captive," a collection of essays entitled "Songs of the Captive Unchained," and she is editor of a collection of essays entitled "The Very Best of Divorce in Connecticut."
