Tokeitha K. Wilson, is a Bestselling Author, Empowerment Speaker, Change Advocate and Intercessory Prayer Warrior. Behind the curls and pearls, Tokeitha K. endured disappointment, heartbreak, and pain while suffering in silence from childhood abuse, parental incarceration, bullying, domestic violence, addiction, and the list goes on. As a successful Public Health Executive within one of the Nation's leading healthcare systems and the founder of Empowerment Station, Tokeitha K. is on a mission to empower those who've endured abuse and social disparities. Tokeitha was conceived in a federal penitentiary, raised in Washington, D.C., and survived three cycles of abuse that inspired her to write a profound bestselling memoir, Too Precious to Be: A Guide to Restoring Women Suffering in Silence, which published in 2015. Tokeitha K. is a Board Member and Ambassador of 10 Blessings Inspiration, Inc. and the 10K Survivors, domestic violence coalition, focused on helping 10,000 victims leave abusive relationships. As an advocate, she uses her voice to bring awareness to sexual assault and domestic violence, and has taken the "It's On Us Pledge," to join the initiative created by United States Vice President Joe Biden. As a result, she attended the White House Champions of Change event. Tokeitha K. has been a special guest on various media outlets, including Counter Culture Radio, The Connect 202, and WHUR Voices. She was also featured in the October 2015 SwagHer Magazine Pink and Purple Survivor Issue. Tokeitha K. serves her community and volunteers as a community partner with non-profit organizations and government agencies such as DC Public Schools New Heights Teen Parent Program, DC Project Connect, Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) and the DC Office of Returning Citizens.
