Nona is a Romanian-American entrepreneur, the author of the Torc the Cat book series, illustrator, fine artist and founder of Nona Design, a studio focused on publishing, photography, illustration and fine art. Nona was born into a family of educators and grew up in a difficult environment surrounded by poverty. She learned from a very early age that the only way forward is through self improvement, helping those in need and giving back to the community. Since 2018, Nona and her husband, Adrian, have been running the #SMILESwithTORC campaign, which has resulted in nearly 1,500 books being donated to children in need across the United States and Canada.

Nona holds masters degrees in chemical engineering and business, and has used her science background to create works that inspire her audience to be curious and learn. Her life's mission is to help others and bring positive change to the world.
