Toward Morning

In Budapest, fourteen-year-old Teresa and her family live through the terror of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Her brother, Janos, leads a small band of Freedom Fighters as they bravely help defend their city from Russian soldiers. The boys' effective guerrilla tactics prompt the Russians to ruthlessly hunt them down, forcing the group and their families to flee the city.
