Notă biografică
Marta Pacheco Pinto is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon and a researcher at the Center for Comparative Studies of the same University. Cultural translation and Portuguese orientalism are her main research interests. She is also assistant director of the literary journal Textos e Pretextos. Joao Ferreira Duarte is professor at the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon, where he has taught and researched on Literary Theory, Comparative Literature and Translation Studies. His recent publications include the co-edited volumes Translation Studies at the Interface of Disciplines (John Benjamins, 2006) and Stories and Portraits of the Self (Rodopi, 2007). Susana Araujo (BA Lisbon, MA Warwick, PhD Sussex) is a researcher at the Center for Comparative Studies, University of Lisbon. She works on and teaches contemporary fiction, cultural memory and urban space. Her articles have been published in journals such as Studies in the Novel, Symbiosis, Women's Studies, and she has recently guest-edited a special issue of Review of International America Studies.
