A little background and incentive: I do not pretend to be all-knowing in the relatively new arena of mindfulness. Like you, I was looking for a way to enjoy my life. When I say 'enjoy', I do not mean finish school, work like crazy and think retirement is when true enjoyment begins. Like many people, I was running on the hamster wheel when a traumatic event abruptly stopped the spinning. Rather than try and jump back on, I began looking for a better way to get the most from my years, months, days, hours, and even moment-now-instead of thinking all the good stuff was waiting for me in retirement. This quote from Deepak Chopra speaks to me with regard to the thought that I am no expert: "Walk with those seeking truth. Run from those who think they have found it." This is what I have been doing: seeking my truth. The operative word in that sentence is "my." There is no "one size fits all" truth for a collective group: diversity-one of the greatest gifts of life is people growing in different directions and at different rates.. Let's walk together. Dagny
