The concept of the Trinity can be a very difficult one to grasp. Transformed by the Trinity, firmly rooted in Scripture and written for laypeople in a straightforward style, helps us get our arms around the Trinity and see ourselves as active participants in the Divine Life. To help us process how the three persons of the Godhead relate to each other and how, in turn, we relate to all three, Carol Frances Jegen, BVM, takes us well beyond the traditional terms of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. For example, to fully understand the Son, Jegen insists that we need to see Jesus through four different lenses: Beloved Son, Servant, the Word Made Flesh, and Lamb of God.
