Notă biografică
Dr Mijovic is Honorary Consultant Haematologist with special interest in Transfusion Medicine at King’s College Hospital in London, United Kingdom. After graduating medicine at the University of Belgrade, Serbia in 1978, he worked as a haematologist at the University Clinical Centre in Belgrade before moving to United Kingdom in 1993. He was appointed as a joint consultant between King’s and the National Blood Service in 1999. He received research grants from the National Blood Authority and pharmaceutical industry. He served as teacher at the European School of Transfusion Medicine and the European Haematology Association and adviser to the World Health Organization. Dr Mijovic pursues his academic work through the European Haematology Association. He has over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for several international transfusion medicine and hematology journals.
