English summary: This study looks at music therapy in terms of both home and day clinic psychiatric treatment for severely traumatized adults. Against the background of trauma therapeutic conceptions, it presents approaches from music therapy adapted for trauma patients that are illustrated based on reconstructed case studies. Treatment success is examined using qualitative and quantitative methods. A specially developed category system helps in the understanding of complex post traumatic stress symptoms. It also assists in the understanding of various music-related factors that can come to light during the course of treatment, both spontaneously and through targeted therapeutic intervention. This volume aims to make a contribution to a form of music therapy orientated towards trauma therapy, which enables anxiety-free access to resourcefulness and resilience of patients, while also taking into consideration trauma-related psychodynamic events. German description: Die Forschungsarbeit befasst sich mit Musiktherapie im Rahmen einer ambulanten sowie tagesklinisch psychiatrischen Behandlung mit schwer traumatisierten Erwachsenen. Vor dem Hintergrund traumatherapeutischer Konzeptionen werden traumaadaptierte musiktherapeutische Vorgehensweisen dargestellt und innerhalb der Fallrekonstruktionen veranschaulicht. Der Behandlungserfolg wird mit qualitativen und quantitativen Methoden untersucht. Dabei dient das entwickelte Kategoriensystem dem Verstandnis der komplexen Traumafolgesymptomatik. Ebenso hilft es, die unterschiedlichen musikbedingten Faktoren, die innerhalb der Therapieprozesse sowohl spontan als auch durch gezielte therapeutische Interventionen auftauchen, zu verstehen. Dieser Band soll zu einer traumatherapeutisch orientierten Musiktherapie beitragen, welche einen angstfreien Zugang zu den Ressourcen und Resilienzen der Patientinnen und Patienten ermoglicht, aber auch das traumabedingte psychodynamische Geschehen berucksichtigt.
