Council has been given, plans have been made, and hopes raised, but only the Creator knows if their plans and hopes will come true. As they set their feet on homeward paths, Viti, Elm, Mark, and Arsir hope that Nhb can hire the help of the fickle and greedy dragons. But soon they have more immediate concerns: King Fire's army of fire horses is roaming the Eastern North Continent at will. As the danger escalates and King Fire's deadly plan seems stronger than their hopes, they realize that the future is out of their control. They must trust that the Creator has a greater plan than their own.
