Notă biografică

Dr Jitendra Kumar Katiyar is presently working as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology Kattankulathur Chennai, India. His research interest includes modern manufacturing techniques, tribology of carbon materials, polymer composites, self-lubricating polymers, lubrication tribology, and coatings for advanced technologies. He obtained his bachelor's degree from UPTU Lucknow with Honours in 2007. He received his master's from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2010 and his PhD from the same institution in 2017. He is a life member of the Tribology Society of India, the Malaysian Society of Tribology, the Institute of Engineers, India, and The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has authored/ co-authored/ published more than 55+ articles in reputed journals, 40+ articles in international/national conferences, 20+ Book Chapters, and 10+ books published by various publishers. He has served as guest associate editor in many Mechanical Engineering and Tribology journals.
Further, he is a Member Editorial Board of Tribology Materials, Surfaces and Interfaces and a Review Editor in Frontier in Mechanical Engineering. He is also an active reviewer in 20+ reputed materials, manufacturing, and tribology journals. He has also delivered over 50+ invited talks on various research fields related to tribology, composite materials, surface engineering and machining. He has organised 7+ FDP/Short Term Courses and International Tribology Research Symposium in tribology.

Prof. T V V L N Rao received PhD in Tribology of Fluid Film Bearings from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2000, and MTech in Mechanical Manufacturing Technology from the National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Calicut in 1994. Rao’s current research interests are in Tribology, Lubrication, Bearings, Machining, and Manufacturing. He has authored (and co-authored) over 140 publications till date. He has secured (as PI and Co-PI) several research grants from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and a research grant from The Sumitomo Foundation, Japan. Rao is a member of Associate Editors of Journal of Engineering Tribology, member of Editorial Board of Tribology & Lubrication Technology (2021, 2024), Review Editor in Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering: Tribology, Review Editor of Frontiers in Chemistry: Nanoscience and Materials Research Communications, member of Editorial Board of Pusat Publikasi Ilmiah ITS. He is a member of Guest Associate Editors of various Mechanical Engineering and Tribology journals. Rao is an executive member (2015-2023) of Malaysian Tribology Society. He is a member of Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, Malaysian Tribology Society and Tribology Society of India. He is also a reviewer of reputed journals associated with tribology and manufacturing. Rao is currently Professor & Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Assam down town University. Prior to this, he served as Professor& Dean (Mar 2022 – Feb 2023) at The Assam Kaziranga University, Professor (Feb – Mar 2022) at The Assam Kaziranga University, Professor and Head (Jul–Dec 2021) and Professor (Jan–Jul 2021) at MITS Madanapalle, Research Associate Professor at SRMIST (2017-2020), Visiting Faculty at LNMIIT (2016-2017), Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (2010-2016), and Assistant Professor in BITS Pilani at Pilani (2000-2004, 2007-2010) and Dubai (2004-2007) campuses.

Dr. Ahmad Majdi Abdul Rani received PhD in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering from Loughborough University, UK, MSc in Industrial Engineering and BSc in Manufacturing from Northern Illinois University, USA. His research interests are in BioMedical Engineering, Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering and Tribology. He has supervised and currently supervising more than 20 postgraduate (PhD & MSc) students. He recently received Leadership in Innovation Fellowship - Newton Award, UK. He has secured 3 patents and won more than 15 Gold awards in exhibitions such as ITEX, MaGRIs (MOSTI), MARS, PENCIPTA, IME, SPDEC, CoRIC, etc. He has authored over 150 publications till date. He has secured (as PI and Co-PI) several research grants from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (FRGS, PRGS, ERGS, MyBrain) and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (YUTP, I-GEN, STIRF). He has been associated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS since 1998. He has been Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS from 2009-2011.
Dr. Mohd Hafis Sulaiman received PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark (DTU), MEng and BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). His research interests lie in the mechanical and manufacturing engineering’s area with emphasis on metal forming, tribology, coating and machine design. He has authored and co-authored over 70 publications till date. He has secured research grants from international, industry and national funds, such as Taiho Kogyo Tribology Research Foundation (TTRF), Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). He has worked on a research project funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research, entitled Environmentally Benign Sheet Metal Forming Tribology Systems (SHETRIB). He has received numerous awards such as Young Tribologist Research award, Young Tribologist Best Paper award, a travel grant from Japanese Society of Technology on Plasticity (JSTP) and Nichidai Corporation, a travel grant from Otto Mønsteds Fond, and a travel grant from International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). He has won a crowdsourced Subject Matter Expert (SMX) Solutions Programme by Steinbeis Malaysia Foundation and Agensi Inovasi Malaysia for solving industrial precision stamping and forging of motorcycle sprocket. He received his professional engineer qualification (Ir.) from Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) and a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) from the Engineering Council, United Kingdom. Ir. Dr Mohd Hafis Sulaiman is a qualified evaluating panel for Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC), which provides quality assurance in engineering higher education in Malaysia. He is also an executive member of Malaysia Tribology Society (MYTRIBOS) (2020-2021). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).

Professor J. Paulo Davim is a Full Professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is also distinguished as honorary professor in several universities/colleges/institutes in China, India and Spain. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997, M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (materials and manufacturing processes) in 1991, Mechanical Engineering degree (5 years) in 1986, from the University of Porto (FEUP), the Aggregate title (Full Habilitation) from the University of Coimbra in 2005 and the D.Sc. (Higher Doctorate) from London Metropolitan University in 2013. He is Senior Chartered Engineer by the Portuguese Institution of Engineers with an MBA and Specialist titles in Engineering and Industrial Management as well as in Metrology. He is also Eur Ing by FEANI-Brussels and Fellow (FIET) of IET-London. He has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, with special emphasis in Machining & Tribology. He has also interest in Management, Engineering Education and Higher Education for Sustainability. He has guided large numbers of postdoc, Ph.D. and master’s students as well as has coordinated and participated in several financed research projects. He has received several scientific awards and honors. He has worked as evaluator of projects for ERC-European Research Council and other international research agencies as well as examiner of Ph.D. thesis for many universities in different countries. He is the Editor in Chief of several international journals, Guest Editor of journals, books Editor, book Series Editor and Scientific Advisory for many international journals and conferences. Presently, he is an Editorial Board member of 30 international journals and acts as reviewer for more than 100 prestigious Web of Science journals. In addition, he has also published as editor (and co-editor) more than 200 books and as author (and co-author) more than 15 books, 100 book chapters and 500 articles in journals and conferences (more than 280 articles in journals indexed in Web of Science core collection/h-index 59+/11500+ citations, SCOPUS/h-index 63+/14000+ citations, Google Scholar/h-index 82+/23500+ citations). He has listed in World´s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University study.
