Notă biografică

Debashis Mandal, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticulture, Aromatic and Medicinal Plants at Mizoram University, India. He has published books, research papers and book chapters and is a member of the Workgroup Lychee, Longan, and Other Sapindaceae Fruits of the International Society for Horticultural Science and the ISHS Commission on Quality and Postharvest Horticulture. Dr. Mandal is the Editor-in-Lead (Horticulture) for the International Journal of Bio Resources & Stress Management as well as an editorial board member and reviewer for other journals in his field. He is a consultant horticulturist to the Department of Horticulture & Agriculture (Research & Extension), Government of Mizoram, India, and Himadri Specialty Chemicals Ltd.
Ursula Wermund, PhD, is Project Manager and R&D Coordinator at Greenyard Fresh of Greenyard Fresh Trade International, GmbH, Bremen, Germany. She has marked management and teaching experience in postharvest handling and marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables. She was previously affiliated with the Imperial College, Wye, UK, as Head of the Post Harvest Group. Her corporate experience includes acting as head of quality management at the Peter Vetter Group, Germany. She has published over a dozen research papers and has participated at international meetings, conferences, and symposiums.
Lop Phavaphutanon, PhD, is Deputy Head and Chief of the Tropical Fruit Research and Development Center, Department of Horticulture, Kasetsart University, Thailand, where he has been teaching for over 30 years. He has published many research papers, book chapters, and seminar papers during his active research career. Currently he is handling several research projects related to aromatic coconut and pummelo fruit. He teaches courses on the principles of horticulture, physiology of horticultural crops, tropical fruits, orchard management, nutrition of horticultural crops, and research methods in horticultural sciences.
Regina Cronje is a Horticulturist with the Agricultural Research Council of the Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Crops, South Africa. She is associated with research on crop production technology of subtropical fruits and is currently focused on litchi and mandarin. She serves on the Board of Directors of the South African Litchi Growers’ Association and is a member of the South African Society for Horticultural Science and the International Society for Horticultural Science. She has published research papers and book chapters and was chief editor for the published proceedings of the IV International Symposium on Lychee, Longan and Other Sapindaceae Fruits.
