Suzanne Kelly, 57, is a contributor and editor of Aberdeen Voice online newspaper where several hundred of her articles and satirical pieces can be found. Suzanne moved to the UK from her native New York in 1988. Currently residing in the Hastings area, she lived in Aberdeen for 13 years, where she investigated and reported on environmental, human rights, animal welfare and local government issues. She has followed Donald Trump's ventures in Scotland since before planning was approved for Menie, where she has visited many times. Her work has been published in Time Magazine, Private Eye, The Guardian, and a number of regional papers. She completed her National Council for the Training of Journalists studies at Brighton Journalist Works and is a member of the National Union of Journalists. Published works include Menie Estate: System Failures, Old Susannah's Guide to Modern Manners, and Postcards from Freedonia. Her journalism led to activism; Suzanne campaigned to help save an Aberdeen City park from development, and she petitioned successfully to have Donald Trump's honorary doctorate from Robert Gordon University removed. She is known for her petition to Parliament concerning Donald Trump, requesting he be banned from visiting under hate speech law, which was signed by 586,000 people.
