"Trust me, I am the Boss" is a book about workplace leadership and management challenges, that arise as a result of employer misconduct. In the book the author reveals how an egocentric employer's ill behaviour and constant need to be the centre of attention, interferes with the day-to-day operations of his business and as a result, affect his ability to lead and manage effectively. Persistent episodes of abuse, bullying, disrespect, discrimination, and harassment, towards a female member of staff, eventually reveals his struggle with professional insecurities, and his short-comings as a leader and manager. The employer/employee relationship is extremely dysfunctional employer/employee and toxic, and soon enough comes to an end. The book contains lessons for employers, employees and human resource managers, which are applicable and useful to creating better work environments.
