PIGGY BANKS JUST HOLD CHANGE.
HERE, I'LL GIVE YOU MY TWO CENTS TO GET YOU STARTED. From the award-winning author behind My Pants comes Two Cents, a heart-warming story about a piggy bank who wants more out of life than coins. In aisle six of the local toystore lives an energetic piggy bank named Koppig. Contrary to his stereotype, Koppig does not like to sit and hold change. He loves to run. When Koppig overhears talk of a triathlon happening in aisle seven, he decides to compete. Unfortunately, the other toys are not too fond of their piggy bank competitor, leading to a recurring speech about what piggy banks are supposed to do. This personified version of the American idiomatic expression gives readers an education in communication and self-assurance. Kohr's storytelling (credited as "Sigur") paired with Fisk's child-friendly paintings make Two Cents a classic in the making. Koppig learns that not all "two cents" are worth the weight. REVIEWS
"It is an amazing book and a work that [Nicole] put alot of thought into. The story is a portrait of her own determination and courage of which I have witnessed over the years. Koppig, the main character, is a self-determined young man. His courage to finish the race reminds me of Nicole's. Every child needs to read this book." - William "Bill" Grippo, Principal of MacAfee Road School Will you give us your TWO CENTS?

Notă biografică
A public relations professional and children's advocate, Nicole is very excited about her first publication. A theater kid since the age of five, Nicole found her love for children through the My Name is Matthew Program (theater for an audience of disabled children). From there, she went on to receive her bachelor's degree in public relations and a minor in psychology (graduating Summa Cum Laude). During which time, she volunteered as creative director for P.R.S.S.A. and became certified in the theory and practice of child life. She now works full-time for Princeton Theological Seminary's advancement team, and is a guest lecturer for Rutgers Medical School (in association with Robert Wood Barnabas Health). "I spent much of my life picking apart the unsolicited advice that people gave me on a daily occasion. This led to a lifetime of MacGyver-like inventions and a deeper understanding of two-way communication. After a while, the sound of me beating to my own drum drowned out the unsolicited advice. This is coming from someone who works in fundraising; I know when solicitations aren't welcome. My hope is that this book brings awareness to the idea that not all two cents are valuable. Every child should have the ability to reach for their dreams, in spite of the criticism that they may face. One's ability to decipher between helpful advice and hurtful advice is the most valuable gift. In the end, the decision is yours."
