Recenzii
Anyone who likes baseball will enjoy reading this book.
Impressive....Valuable....An often fascinating analysis of Cobb's personality.
Crisply written, a splendid addition to the sports-biography shelf.
Now, thanks to...Charles Alexander, comes a biography of the 'Georgia Peach' that is carefully researched, crisply written and all too revealing.
No baseball fan will want to pass up this book....Alexander has performed that magical feat of creating Ty Cobb, warts and all....It's a wonderful, wonderful book.
Professor Alexander has...written the best book yet on Cobb.
This is the best biography of Ty Cobb ever written. It is based on impeccable research and yet still reads like a novel. A fine book.
What a wonderful book! It is both engaging social history and a wonderful yarn.
A good picture of Cobb's winning ethic and of his place in the 'national pastime.'
A very good book, especially at integrating the life of Cobb with the wider spectrum of sports and American culture.
