AUTHOR
CLARENCE J. BOUCHAT is a retired U.S. Air Force officer, and an adjunct instructor at the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) Department of Distance Education. He served in several assignments in East Asia, including the American Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. He has taught strategy, geography, and East Asia studies at the University of Maryland University College, Harrisburg Area Community College, and his alma mater the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is the author of several works on the South China Sea, and developer of the political-military board game South China Sea in support of a course he teaches on this region. He is also a Wiki Supervisor and senior analyst for the crowd-sourced strategic intelligence consultancy Wikistrat Inc.
