After a battle between the Union and the Confederates, a black Union soldier is taking captive. He is badly injured, but a young nurse saves his life. She takes care of him, and even though he cannot speak, they slowly become fond of each other, but love can be a dangerous thing, when you don't know, who can be trusted.
