Eddie Cannon Jr. is nearing the completion of his police academy training and decides to follow in the footsteps of his father. His dad, Homeland Security's, Detective Ed Cannon Sr., was slain in the line of duty as an undercover officer trying to bring down a large mid-west drug trafficking ring. Homeland Security learns that the young Hawaiian Police Academy Cadet is the son of their fallen decorated officer. They give Eddie Cannon Jr. his dream job of going undercover. Eddy Jr. assumes the identity of an out of work high school drop-out who has been instructed to take a job working in his estranged grandfather's Nebraska Fun Center and Roller Skating Rink that serves as a cover for the drug trafficking enterprise. Eddie is directed by Homeland Security to do whatever is necessary to bring down his own families illegal business. Cannon's police academy buddy goes undercover with him to have his back if things go wrong. Eddie Jr. and his partner violate police policy when they both become romantically involved with the daughter of the Fun Center's general manager. She turns the officers against each other by making them vie for her attention. She then double-crosses them blowing their cover and placing their lives in grave danger. Cannon now must resort to his academy training; he hides his emotions, studies the situation and solves the case in the nick of time. In the end, it was Eddie Cannon Jr. who stood emotionless over a female's dead body holding the smoking gun. He tried to feel something for her but he couldn't shed a single tear.
