Understanding Me, Understanding You

Autor Krishna Manoj
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 21 iul 2017
We are educated to understand the world around us but not ourselves, and this is responsible for many of our problems. This book enables you to understand yourself clearly, and with this clarity of insight, problems can dissolve. Understanding ourselves helps us to understand and get on better with others because, despite our apparent differences, and hidden from our awareness, the human mind functions in the same way in everyone. This realisation can transform our relationships and also lead to freedom from stress, wisdom and a sense of inner peace. How can we live in relationships without conflict? Is it possible to not get stressed or hurt? Do we feel unsettled and long for peace within? How can we find love in our lives and be happy? The answers to these and other questions can be found through a deeper understanding of how our minds work, by observing our thoughts and feelings as they arise in us, and then exploring what lies behind them. Just as we watch a bird fly across the sky we can observe our thoughts and feelings simply and clearly. This book is part of the Human Enquiry Project and more information can be found at humanenquiry.com

Notă biografică

Manoj Krishna trained as a doctor in Pune, India before coming to the UK to pursue a career as a spine surgeon. He left that career to write this book and launch the Human Enquiry Project. He lives in Yorkshire, England. He has had a deep interest in understanding how the human mind functions all through his life. He has facilitated dialogue groups where people would gather to enquire into the mind we all share. He feels passionately that we all need to be educated not only to understand the world around us, but also our inner spaces and how our minds work. He thinks each person is capable of this richness of understanding, and it can result in change without effort.
