Notă biografică

Jackie D. Goodway is a professor of Kinesiology in the Department of Human Sciences at The Ohio State University. She received her PhD from Michigan State University in motor development and adapted physical education. Dr. Goodway's research focuses on the promotion of motor skill development and physical activity in young children, especially those from vulnerable populations. She has developed SKIP (Successful Kinesthetic Instruction for Preschoolers) an evidenced-based (Successful Kinesthetic Instruction for Preschoolers) motor skill intervention that has been implemented in many countries across the world. She also co-developed the Developmental Trajectory model highlighting the relationship between motor competence and physical activity. This model has been cited over 1,100 times and is the foundation of work on many continents. Dr. Goodway has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed publications and has over 200 international and national presentations in this area.
